Tolerates dry and hot conditions. Best for containers and baskets.
Plant either as a ground cover in a sunny garden spot. Soil should drain well. Looks best in a container or a basket. They reach a height of only 6 in, but spread or vine as much as 3 to 4 ft. Flowers form along the entire length of each branch. Unlike standard petunias, the 2 to 3-in. (5 to 7-cm) flowers continue to bloom freely all season without being trimmed back. 'Wave' is more Botrytis-tolerant than most petunias. They take longer to bloom and may be delivered before they are in bloom.
Pictured to the right. They bloom earlier and more than other colors.
Pictured in the upper left. This bright color really attracts the eye to a hanging basket or container.
With a warm sunny spring, the Waves thrived. Shown below before transplanting into baskets.
Our Growing Strategy
Receive in April after the last frost. Transplant into six packs Grow on the ground in the back yard Need lots of sun and no cold temperatures. Fertilize with Miracle Grow every 7 to 10 days Watch color of leaves-Look for a deep green color. After leaves start to overlap as in the picture to the left, transplant into baskets Remaining six packs should be spaced out to allow the vines room to grow. Delivery may need to begin before flowers have fully bloomed.
