This is not Blackpool or the Costa Del Sol superimposed on Bulgaria, as seems to be the fashion nowadays. If you are prepared to go native in Bulgaria, it is one of the few places in europe where you really can still get away from it all. That's not to say that there isn't plenty to do! The Property is a 3/4 bedroomed property, formerly a peasant smallholding farmhouse. We have tried to retain the original character whilst providing the typical western modern amenities.

The property is located in a small village close to Sopot, about 80 miles from the Capital, Sofia. It is located in the Central Balkan mountain range is is one of the most picturesque villages in the area. It is a couple of miles off the main Sofia-Burgas highway, and also has a railway station on the Sofia-Burgas line. There are a couple of shops and cafe's in the village, and the locals are friendly but poor. There is a living tradition of country life which some of the villagers are willing to share.

It serves as an ideal retreat, but other things to do include walking, Nature / birdwatching, Paragliding, Local history, day trips, Skiing, wine tasting, and hunting / fishing.
