Hunter is in make-up when Courtney comes in to introduce herself

[Hunter flicks through a magazine] Oh great. Catherine Zeta Jones... again.
Don't you just love her?
Excuse me. Hunter. [Hunter tries to ignore Courtney] Hunter?
No offence, but I have a policy about not talking to the extras.
Oh I'm not an extra. I'm Courtney Scott.
I'm playing your cousin Laura who just moved to Grosse Pointe.
Oh right! The weird cousin from West Virginia!
Yeah, anyway, it is such a thrill to meet you. Oh God, I can't believe I'm really here!
Don't be nervous. Once you get past the freaks on the crew staring at you it's a breeze.
Ira, you're twisting my hair. That really hurts, OK?
So Courtney, what have you done?
Oh, a bunch of stuff. But most recently I played Nora in "A Dolls House"
at the University of Arizona.
Oh I can't believe I missed that.

[Marcy opens the trailer door and walks inside]
Hi! I'm Marcy!
Hi Marcy. Courtney Scott.
Do you even have an apartment yet?
Oh, no I'm staying at a hotel with my Mom.
I guess I'm going to have to start looking for a place.
Oooh! I'll go apartment hunting with you if you want?
[Hunter rolls her eyes at Marcy's offer] Oh, that would be great.
OK!

Kevin tries to introduce a "Make-a-Dream" kid to the cast in make-up

Guys, there's a "Make-a-Dream" kid on the set. He'd love to come in and say hello.
What's a "Make-a-Dream" kid?
Oh, they're these sick children who visit the set every so often
and meeting us is like their dream come true.
What's wrong with him?
Leukemia.
[Together] Ohhh.
[Together] Ohhh. [Hunter remains silent]
His name's Adam.
Now is not a good time!
Okay.

[Kevin shuts the trailer door as Adam peers inside, hoping to catch a glimpse of the cast]

Courtney meets Johnny, who plays Brad, her screen cousin

Excuse me. Johnny. Hi, I'm Courtney Scott.
I'm playing Laura Johnson, your cousin who moves from West Virginia.
You're my cousin?
Yeah, you know my parents were killed in that land slide, and our fathers haven't spoken in years but your folks were left as my guardians in the will?
Man, I'll have to start reading the script.
You mean you haven't read the script for this week's episode?
Nah, I never look at it until I get on the set.
Oh? When do you prepare?
What do you mean?
I mean, when do you define your character objectives and do your sense memory work?
Um... never.
What about our character histories? How often did we see each other as children? Were you the one who taught me how to ride a bike? And did we ever "play doctor"?
I don't know. I never thought of all that.
Well, don't you think you ought to? [She laughs nervously] I mean, I've been preparing for weeks and how am I supposed to do my best work when you don't even know who I am?
Courtney! We need you in wardrobe right now please.
[Courtney walks off to wardrobe with Kevin]
[To Dave, Johnny's stand-in] Damn! The new girl's hot!
