| Just the Band-aid | |||||||||||||||||||
| It gets hard some times, to smile at everything. On the inside, I cry, on the outside, I sing. I can't, any longer, portray this charade, When I pretend to be happy bieng "just the Band-aid." I get no gratitude, no any pay. I give all and get nothing every day I would work until I die for the people I love, But I'll be repaid from the man up above. He commands me to serve my neighbors. I plan to do so until the day of my chambers. Would it be too much to ask if I want a "thank you" After washing the coolers or fingding someone's shoe? You'll never understand how hard I slave, Until you tally the hours that I gave. Three hours, twice a week, games and competitions too. I've given my all, just for you. So tell me, Band, what's going on? Do you think it is al games and fun? I never complained, I never made a fuss, Any of those hours I spent on a bus. You owe me nothing; This is my gift to you. Band, I love all that I do. |

| Things Change | |||||||||||||||||||
| People come and go. People change their ways. Grass gets covered with snow. From winter nights to summer days, Things change. A person gets a make-over. A child is born; an old man dies. A broken mirror, four-leaf clover, Eagles swim; a fish flies. Things change Growing up sure is hard. As the nights keep getting colder, It's about time I let down my gaurd, And stop being a child, for I am older. Things change. |
