| Title: Sick Days are no Fun Part 3 Author: Dragon_Wolf Fandom: CSI Pairing: Nick-Greg + E-mail: [email protected] Archive: yes and the [email protected] "Mrs. Sanders." Dr. Watkins started to explain. "No, Doctor it's Miss Sanders." Mary said. "I'm sorry about that, the pneumonia we can cure for your brother that won't be a problem it was caught in the early stages. The worry for me is the dizziness and what is causing it that so far is the mystery. Hopefully the cat scan will help with the diagnosis." Dr. Watkins told the group and Mary Sanders in particular. "Thank you Dr. I appreciate all the trouble but I do want to make one thing completely clear and if I need to fill out any forms with the hospital I will do it." Mrs. Sanders explained to the doctor, "Nick Stokes in my absence is to be power for personal care." "When Nick first came he tried to show the power of care forms to be informed of Greg's condition, before I got here. He was on allowed or permitted any information in regards to my son. I live out of state and Nick and Greg are married in every sense of the word and I want him to be the one contacted in case of emergency and to be completely informed of all decisions regarding my son's condition. Will you inform staff of this change of status and put all Nick's information as first contact and if you need copies of power of care you can copy them for the hospital files." A determined Mrs. Sanders stated. "I am sorry of the mix up Mrs. Sanders; I will have all the files updated if Mr. Stokes will come with me we will get this straightened right now. I am sorry about all the trouble." Dr. Watkins said embarrassedly. Nick and the doctor left to get all the paperwork changed. Nick came back and they all settled down for the wait of the test results. The doctor came out soon after and said that everyone including Nick should go home and rest because as of right now there was a backlog for cat scans and it would be a matter of hours before any testing could be done. Then after that it would be longer still for the results to come back. The team left for there respective homes and Gil dropped Nick and the Sanders off at Nick and Greg's house because he had come in by ambulance and his truck was still at CSI headquarters. Gil came in for a coffee and then he took Nick back to headquarters to pick up his truck so that they would be able to get to the hospital. When Nick came home he almost cried at the sight waiting for him in the kitchen. Greg's mom had all of them breakfast, and it was one of the best meals he had in awhile and the company he had it with made him feel so much better. The three of them sat around the kitchen table and enjoyed each others company and nick told them the newest gossip from around headquarters. No one would have believed that Nick and Greg kept up the gossip chain so well or heard as much as they actually did. Nick caught up on all the happenings out of state from them both. The phone kept ringing while they shared Greg's supply of blue Hawaiian. Nick made a mental note to himself to restock when they went out again later that day. The calls were from the team checking in for news from the hospital but none from the hospital itself which began nagging at all their minds. Finally Dr. Watkins called and said that the test results had come back and that Greg would eventually be fine, but that he had to stay in hospital for the next 24 hours for treatment. The first question was what had happened to Greg besides the pneumonia? What were the test results and when could they visit him? Dr. Watkins explained that they could visit him from 4pm to 8pm for regular visiting hours. He needed to stay quiet and rest for the next few hours while he had his IV meds. He went on to explain that Greg had had a piece of earwax break off inside his ear canal and crystallize in the eardrum. When this happened it caused the dizziness and the only thing that would clear the problem was time and medication. So Greg would be fine and his condition was very rare and unusual this didn't happen to anyone very often. He would be able to come home tomorrow if he responded well to the medication. The doctor said he had to get back and check on his patient again and that he would see them at the hospital during rounds later today. After the phone call they just hugged each other and called the team to let them know how Greg was doing. After all the calls were made and the dishes were done they all went up to bed to get some rest before going to the hospital in the afternoon. Later after they had lunch and got ready Nick and the ladies went to thehospital to see Greg. After they left the house the phone began ringing while they were on route. The one thing everyone forgot to give the hospital were their cell numbers |
