| May 1st....Beltane Beltane! My friends and I are celebrating Beltane by attending a Woman of the World party! For those of you NON pagans out there....Beltane is a festival of fertility...so what better way to spend Beltane than at a sex toy party?!?! LOL )0( May 9th...Pagan Weekend! The second weekend of every month is my pagan weekend. My friends and I get together and study a particular Goddess/Topic. This month's goddess was Amaterasu, the japanese goddess of the sun. This month we also watched Practical Magick with Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock. A memeber of the group graduated from graduate school so later we went to her house for a ParTae! We drank until the weeeeeeee hours of the morning!!!!!!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!! )0( May 10th.....Mother's Day Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's out there! Each and everyone of you deserve to get a pat on the back for all the hard work you do raising your children! I hope that there is a special someone in your life to help you celebrate this special day! My husband never does anything for me, but my son made me a beautiful set of handprints in yellow paint on green construction paper! He also wrote me a poem (dictated by the teacher I'm sure)! I do not have a mother, so I really haven't celebrated this day in almost 20 years. My husband didn't get his mother anything. Didn't even know it was Mother's Day until I asked him if he'd called his Mom....(sigh)...MEN. )0( May 12th Well...I must say that I'm feeling rather incompetent at the moment...even more so as I'm thinking I didn't spell "incompetent" right... Things have not been going well at work and I was given a warning today and told that if I did not improve in one week that I would be terminated. I told them that I was already doing my best and that if it was not satisfactory that I would hand in my 2 weeks notice tomorrow....so, time to type (sigh) I really like my job and am sad that I was not performing up to the Dr's standards :( I talked to some people in the office, they just hugged me and said she had a REALLY high turn over rate because she was very "particular" and for me not to take it personally. Several even said they would write letters of recommendation for me, so that is nice :) The lady who is in charge of all the Dr offices for the hospital I work for is trying to find an office better suited for me...but I don't think she likes me too much, I'm not sure how hard she will try (rolls eyes). She said that I was intelligent and capable, but that Dr. She Who Must Not Be Named and I were just not a good match....(grrrr) Anyway, I'm upset, but I know deep down, VERY deep down (snicker), that everything happens for a reason....so I'm trying to look at it in a positive light. Maybe my whole purpose of working there was to educate someone on something, or to learn something, or maybe it was getting that toddler out of the road one day when I left early with the stomach bug...who knows... I will have to dig up a spell to help with finding the RIGHT job and not JUST a job...I guess I need to be more specific! LOL )0( |
