It's around 8:00 pm on the narrow street that connects the taxi
square

with the busses station, close to Remezzo nightclub. A lot of people are walking around, and there is a guy and a girl inside a parked Jeep Wrangler. They both dressed (like the rest of the island population) in Dolce & Gabbana, (or check their official here) and still have their shades on. They seem like they're asleep. As I walked passed them, the guy stands up and starts throwing up all over the place! Nobody seems to be paying attention; the ones that walked closer to him tried not to step on you know what! Hmm, kind of early to be drunk! Usually I'm not surprised by such things, especially in Mykonos, but it was my first day on the island after 4 years in California ... The sea breeze from the Aegean makes me forget about the insident right away, I've seen much much weirder things happening there ... it was mid-july '94.
The island has been around since ancient times, and if you're interested in its history, please take a look here.
The question is how it became one of the hottest spots on the planet!

The photoshopically artistic :-) picture above is a view of the chora, i.e. the capital of the island.
Before I went to Mykonos for the first time, I asked around to find out how it's like going for vacation there. To my surprise, most of the people I asked said that the moment you step foot on the island you'll know! I couldn't understand what that meant, so I asked again, and they told me you either going to love it or hate it.
I first went to Mykonos when I was 17 years old, and since then it has been my favorite of the greek islands!
The streets in
chora are very narrow,
