| The relationship between Quare and Khari is predominantly business-oriented. This is not to say that they aren't friends, rather, they're very good friends. They both realize that their working relationship and their friendship are separate entities, and both do their best to keep them independant. Quare is technically Khari's underling, his right-hand-man, if you will. Khari trusts Quare's advice probably more than anyone else's on the planet, but if he sees a flaw in Quare's reasoning, he'll point it out right away. And Quare appreciates that greatly. The two of them make a pretty good team. Their friendship is a very strong bond. They both enjoy the other's company, and they don't nose into each other's personal lives. Khari really opens up around Quare, and they spend many evenings together over a glass of wine or a warm beverage discussing their philosopies on various topics. They usally find time for a game of chess at least once a week. This is more a result of Quare's influence than anything, though Khari does enjoy the games. At times, Khari will get bored, and at these times, he seeks out Quare (if Quare isn't busy) and will take him along on something entirely random. For example, he once took Quare flying. Quare is often surprised by these outings, and as a result, usually enjoys them. (He doesn't get surprised often.) Sometimes Quare will ask Khari for a small magic trinket of some-kind-or-other, and Quare is one of the few, if not the only person that Khari will do this for. Sometimes. One of the reasons that Khari likes Quare is that he is so very self-aware, as well as aware of his surroundings. Quare also recognizes and appreciates these traits in Khari, but he also finds Khari something of a mystery, and this fascinates him. Quare respects Khari a great deal, which is actually fairly rare for Quare. As a point, Quare will NEVER talk to Khari about what he thinks of him (or vice versa). He figures that Khari must know what he thinks, and if he doesn't, he should figure it out on his own. Back Home |
