Name: Quare
Species: Human
Age: 23
Height: 5'10"
Build: Quare is slender, and quite graceful.  He's vaguely delicate looking, though not in a feeble way; more in the way that he looks as though he's something to be admired from a distance, like a panther, or a lionfish or something. (That element probably has more to do with his personality, though.)
Singing Voice: David Usher, of the band Moist and a solo career.  Particular songs of note include Black Black Heart, Unholy, Dirty and Beautiful and Break Her Down
Personality and
Such: There is no polite way to put this.  Quare is a sadistic, sadistic bastard. Quare loves controlling other people, and finds it especially fun to play them so that they don't KNOW that they're being controlled.  He likes to torture people, but he honestly prefers the mental side to the physical side. (That's not to say that he doesn't enjoy physical and/or sexual torture.  He does.  Just not without its mental component.)  One of Quare's favourite things to do is to 'break' someone he finds interesting -- and usually, for a person to be interesting to him, they have to be quite resistant to him -- ie; they have to be hard to break.  Some people interest him simply because of how they react to things, and those people he doesn't care to bother breaking, he just likes to have fun with them. (His fun, of course.  Not theirs.)
Elsewise, Qua
re is quite the gentleman.  He is pretty much always impeccable, and he moves in a very elegant manner.  In fact, watching him, you'd think he choreographed  all his movements, working out which would the the most appealing/flattering/appropriate/whatever best fits the situation.  ...and you know, given how his mind works, he probably has.  Quare will go very far out of his way to be a good host, whether or not he likes the person for whom he is hosting.  By how Quare speaks and acts, one would probably think he was brought up in a very noble household (He wasn't.) And Quare does a very good job of keeping up his 'proper' exterior, despite the situation, and regardless of how thin his patience is wearing.  (It should be noted that this ALSO applies to his torture methods, for the most part (Though he varies them, based on what works "best" for the individual that he's with at the time)  Everything that Quare does is calculated, particularily when he is torturing someone.)
That said, Quare makes no effort to disguise what he is, or what his tastes are (unless he has to.)  He doesn't go about parading it (I sincerely doubt that he would go about parading anything, ever) but if asked about it, he will be perfectly honest.  He will also avoid being vocally vulgar, as he finds it offensive to his senses.  (Again, some situations call for vocal vulgarity, and in such situations, he will employ it.)
If Quare has no interest in someone in a torture-happy way, he can actually be quite pleasant company.  Hell, he can be pleasant company for someone even if he IS interested in them in a torture-happy way (and even if they know it) as long as he has no call to act upon it.
Quare is also the type of guy who finds it distasteful that I use terms like "torture-happy" and  "or something" within his profile.
Quare is rather a creature of strategy.  Everything to him is calculated, including the reactions of other people.  And
he's very good at making these calculations.  He loves strategy.  For this reason, he is Khari's second-in-command, and battle strategist (um, and interrogator).  In general, he's successful because he doesn't consign himself to one course of action; he leaves as many options open as he can, without comprimising the security of his attacks/defenses/whatever.
Quare's favourite game is (Surprise, surprise) chess, and he will often play a game or two with
Khari, who is both his friend and a worthy opponent, when the two of them have the time.  It is likely to assume that any strategy game would catch Quare's fancy.
I probably should have said this before, but Quare doesn't like [using] blunt pain.   He likes all his minstrations to be sharp, definate.
Like everywhere else, as a fighter, Quare is very calculating.  He pretty much has to be, because, while he is not physi
cally weak, he's not especially strong, either.  Most of his personal (One-on-one) fighting ability comes from his agility, and his ability to predict his opponent's movements.  Generally speaking, if Quare has not won within the first five or so of his (not nessecarily his opponent's) strikes, odds are that he won't win.  Not because of a lack of stamina, certainly; he has plenty of that, more because it would mean that he had SERIOUSLY miscalculated his opponent, and had been unable to correct his miscalculation.
In one-on-one combat, Quare's favourite weapon is his whip, which he is VERY skilled with.  This allows him to fight from a distance, but still see how his oppent moves. (I wish to note here that Quare rarely, if ever, uses his whip for torture, save in the early stages, when he wants to capture his ...victims.. and freak them out.)  In personal combat, he also keeps that finger-thing on his left hand, (Quare uses his right hand for the whip. Usually. He IS ambidexterous, for the record.) which is useful if he has to get closer to his opponent.  (The finger thing, by the way, he DOES use when torturing people.  He likes it cause of how personal it can be.  It's razor-sharp, just so you know.)
For combat during large-scale battles, Quare uses a polearm (Pictured in the costume ref) and rides a horse (Well... Horse-thing, which I will eventually post reference pictures of) which allows him to be... fast and slice-y.  Which he likes.
Hobby-wise, Quare likes to cook.  In particular, he likes to cook really fancy things, and in even more particular, he likes to make really fancy desserts.  He much prefers cooking the food to eating it, though (especially the desserts, which are usually too sweet for his tastes) and he tends to give most of the food away, by inviting people to dinner and so forth. Usually he makes an occassion TO cook, not makes an occassion BECAUSE he cooked, for the record.
Quare can also play the violin, and fairly well at that; though he doesn't usually  have access to a violin.
As well, Quare is one of those people with handwriting that is so neat and elegant, but also so casual and quick that you (Or at least I) get jealous.
Quare is also a fairly good teacher, if he takes it upon himself to teach someone something.

This is a really old picture, but it shows the details of his outfit a lot clearer than the picture below. It's not at ALL facially accurate, and the buckles on it are wrong. (The buckles on the picture below are the correct ones.)
