Welcome to Grandfield
U.S.A.
There is no other city in the world that has
her name and no other other city in the world that has her
spirit. Grandfield, Oklahoma was born from the Big Pasture
before the Oklahoma Territory was declared the union's 46th
state.
Bordering against North Texas along the Red River, Grandfield
has been Comanche and Kiowa land, grazing pastures for large
cattle barons, prime real-estate for oil seekers and rich soil
for wheat, cotton and a variety of other crops. Most of all,
Grandfield has been home to several generations of pioneers who
continue to live and practice the values and spirit of the old
west even into the 21st century.Served by Interstate 44,
Grandfield is ideally located between the two largest cities in
Texhoma: Lawton, Oklahoma and Wichita Falls, Texas whose major
employers include Goodyear Tire & Rubber and Pittsburg Paint &
Glass, as well as large military installations such as Fort Sill
Military Base and Sheppard Air Force Base.
U.S. 70, which also serves Grandfield, spans seven states on
its journey through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma,
Arkansas, Tennessee, and ending at the Atlantic Ocean in North
Carolina.
