Lyndall's Page
Sire: Noddfa Loch Linnhe
Dam: Ch. Edenborough Petra (imp.UK)
21.9.1977 - August 1990
This amazing Beardie gave me my beginning into the breed. From her I learnt so much that she deserves a page dedicated just to her. Lyndall loved being in the showring and always gave her best. Never carrying a lot of coat she won on her conformation and absolute soundness. Show highlights included her winning Reserve Challenge bitch to her mother at 12 months and 1 week old at the RNSWCC Spring Fair under Tom Horner (UK) and  winning Top Beardie in the hotly-contested SA pointscore where the final winner came down to BOB under John Cowdroy (NSW) and was between Lyndall and Ch Tamevalley Highland Thistle (imp.UK)
Her favourite past-time at home was to wait for  a semi-trailer to go down the road so she could chase it along the boundary fence (about 500metres!). Many truckies got to know her and would sound the horn when they went around the bend. Lyndall would then saunter back  grinning happily and wait for the next one.
Lyndall was also a very good teacher.
I learnt that Beardies (especially the girls!) can be stubborn, single-minded and independent.
I learnt that it takes nearly an hour to spoon feed a Beardie a meal that, if she wanted, she could eat in 10 seconds flat. I learnt that it takes a Beardie less than half an hour to cover the bottom of a pool with dirt when she is digging close by. I learnt that a Beardie can out-move a German Shepherd in the showring but I need a reserve handler! I learnt that within a blink of an eye that perfectly groomed Beardie can look like she just came out of a paddock of sheep. Most of all I learnt patience, tolerance and a sense of humour.
I also learnt that the Bearded Collie is the most unique of all breeds.
Ch.LAINESLOCH LYNDALL, this page is for you. Thanks for the memories.

"So, did I hear someone say hot dogs for dinner?"
On the day I chose her she was just 3 weeks old and already so confident.

Lyndall was an excellent mother. All Mirdath Beardies go back in a direct line to her. Her progeny, grand progeny or great grandprogeny have been the basis for many successful Beardies bred by others.
