About Me and Links
I began my interest in  the Bearded Collie back in the 60's when my parents, Bill & June Bladon, got their first Beardie Broadholme Christina, call name Petra. Up until then I had been showing the Rough Coats in Handlers classes with some success - thanks to Irene Cousins'  Duntiblae Pattingham Poacher and Elsie Westwood's Doon Sweet Folly.

In 1969 we emigrated to Australia - without dogs. This was life as I had never imagined it! However, in early 1977 Edenborough Petra came from England. Bridget was a daughter of Broadholme Christina. In September 1977 Bridget had her first litter to Noddfa Loch Linnhe and from this I chose my first Beardie, Lainesloch Lyndall. The rest is a long history.

I am interested in Beardie health and have dogs listed in Beacon's Open Health Register. I am passionate about preserving the soundness and essential characteristics of the Bearded Collie as a working dog. In 2005 I look forward to having a go at Herding.

My other interests include reading, collecting Hawkesbury memorabilia and canine collectables, photography, writing (when I have time!), listening to music of the rock genre and my work in Aboriginal Education.

Since 1978 I have lived in South Australia in the Adelaide Hills, and try to get home to NSW once  a year.
