Most of the constituents of Barangay Consuelo engage in rich rice farming as a major crops production and source of income, some engage in up-land farming planting of various High Valued Commercial Crops species, some engage in fishing, some are in mining activities.

Barangay Consuelo has a complete four (4) Elementary Schools 4 Pre-Schools, 4 Day-Care Centers, all in Ko-o, Kalingayan and Upper Consuelo.

Barangay Consuelo has a tourist spot attraction like Hot Spring at Purok-7, Kalingayan, Masapia Blanca Falls, Bunawan Eco-Park and Research Center where Croco-Lolong found. the Agusan Marsh - a protected area and a wildlife Sanctuary.

The Present Administration (2010-2013) are readily to extend services and to continue struggle to make well improved and develop Barangay Consuelo, serving 16 Puroks with a population of 7,587. Since Barangay Consuelo are the Symbol of Barangay.
