of Ruri. And he survived. He grew up in the company of thieves, learned how to fight and use his skills and became a ruthless killer. But his coldbloodiedness made the thieves hate him more, thus they cast him away from their group. He became alone again with nothing and no one except the gem. The words of Ruri left a deep mark in his heart. Unfortunately, the gem was lost during his fight with a demon. And now there are two things he must do. First is to find the gem and second is to find Koorime. To achieve these things, he went to Sigure and asked for a jagan to be implanted to him. This jagan will serve as his third eye. The operation was successful , and in return Sigure made him promise that he will not tell Yukina about his relationship with her. Hiei readily agrees, since he himself doesn't want Yukina to know. With the jagan in him now, Hiei then started his search for Koorime. Upon arriving in the ice country of Makai, everyone feared him as no one wanted to have anything to do with a fire demon. He found Ruri and inquired to her about the "Forbidden Child". Not realizing that whom she was talking to is Hiei, Ruri then narrates to her that the child's mother killed herself after his son was cast away. Ruri even showed him the tomb where his mother lies. She further said that Yukina, the child's twin sister, left Koorime in the hope of finding his long lost twin. As Hiei is leaving, it then occurred to Ruri that it must be the "Forbidden Child" whom she just had a conversation . She then fell down on her knees and asked for forgiveness. Hiei just walked away, not intending to kill her. You might be wondering how Hiei got involved with Yusuke, well its another story. It all started because of his participation to a rei kai robbery. As a punishment, he will serve as a rei kai tantei together with Kurama and Yusuke. Hiei and Yukina saw each other again when the latter was kidnapped by the evil merchant Tarukane. But even though they are now face to face with each other, still Hiei didn't reveal his true identity to his sister. He believed that it is better that she doesn't know a thing about him. |
