at 2nd and Bond. Join The Urban Divers Estuary
Conservancy, The Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club and friends of the Gowanus
Canal as eco-volunteer on this annual cleanwater action event. Armed with
landing nets fleet of UD skiffs, and Dredgers canoes, volunteer help clean-up
floatable debris along this historical canal. Free food and beverages and
infotaiment about the Gowanus Canal. Rain date April

Guided field trip along the canal to learn about the ecology, history and human impact on the historic Gowanus Canal, Erie Basin or Upper Bay at Valentino Piers or Sunset Park Waterfront. Students participate in fun and hands-on scientific investigation , exploration and discovery, to check the health of the estuary.
