| February 22, 2002 Happy Birfday BRAIN!!!!!......I mean Brian. Well, we have lots to update today. Lots of news and lots to say. First order of business. We have a new section. Ode to a BSB. I know I said that in our last update, but Abbie has added some since then. It's pretty funny, but you have to be a serious girlfriend hater to appreciate it. This is Abbie's first all-by-herself section and we're damn proud of it. Next: We saw the Britney movie......opening day. We went to see Crossroads the day it came out......and we liked it. It was an adorable movie. I am not ashamed to say that I like Britney Spears. I LIKE BRITNEY! I admit it. STOP TORTURING ME!!!! :P Speaking of OTHER pop stars, have you heard about Lance from N SYNC??? He will be the first pop star in space. NASA is sending him to the International Space Station. Can you believe this??? Why Lance? I guess it was because he is the most expendable pop star. The Boys are up for a Grammy again this year. Will they win? Probably not. Don't get me wrong, I love them with all my heart, but it's just not likely. I still have hope, though. Well, that 's about it. (but definately NOT girlfriend friendly) Well, we've added a disclaimer (FINALLY). We kept forgetting to do that until now. Oh well, it's there now. Well, today marks one year since we first laid eyes on the beautiful boys we call Backstreet. Ahhh....I wanna go to another concert! :( Well, we have lots to update and report. We updated FOTW, Say Cheesie and the Links page. We would like to wish a Happy belated Birthday to AJ, who is now a whopping 24. *Our little AJ's growin' up so fast* And Happy 22nd Birthday to Nick. Speaking of special days of the year and occasions and stuff, (well, not really, but whatever) Has everyone heard the news? I guess so, I'm always the last to hear everything. AJ is officially engaged. He and Big Boobs Sarah are engaged. Doesn't THAT suck? Yeah, well, I don't think Abbie knows yet and since she never reads this, I'm not gonna be the one to tell her. AJ...a married man. Nope. It'll never work. I hope it does for his sake, though. We only wish him the best, but not with little miss Big Boobs. I suppose that seals it, though. Men are only out for the prettiest face, the tiniest waist and the biggest chest. So, us HUMAN chicks are screwed. Men are scum. I have personally realized that lately. All guys SUCK. One minute they can think of nothing but you, the next they're too busy to even look at you twice. Or even if you can keep their attention for more than two seconds, it's not YOU they're really lookin' at...it's the OPPORTUNITY. And then there's the type who can't get the hint that you can't stand being around them now. They think that just because you avoid them, give them squinty die-bitch-die eyes, and never speak to them, that doesn't mean you don't still worship the ground they walk on. Yeah, I realize I'm a bit bitter, but it's just that the Prom is only two months away and Valentine's day is less than a month and I am alone and it sucks. I don't have a date for the prom. But it doesn't bother me so much 'cause I'm going with Abbie. We'll have more fun than anybody there. Well, now that I've complained enough, I'll just say that I am awful glad Kevin cut his hair and that Abbie doesn't know about AJ's engagement yet. She can't get on the computer until February 1st....she used up too many internet minutes this month...LOL. Oh well, catch ya later. love (SUCKS) peace and no more Kevin grease, Katie January 09, 2002 Howdy ho! Me again! Not much to say, but we added a few things to the new "Bad Boy" Section. I changed one small thing on FOTW, but that's it. The only news is that we're back at school and it's boring as ever. Bla bla bla.... Well, that's it. love, peace and nick got arrested, katie ;) hehehe January 04, 2002 Wow, 2002. That's hard to believe. Well, things have changed and yet stayed the same in the last year. ALOT has happened, that's for sure. Let's re-cap 2001, shall we? In January, we had our very first Backstreet experience. In May, The Boys graced the cover of TV Guide. AND we brought you Got Funny? ...THIS SITE! In June 12th, we spent the best night of our lives in Greenville, SC. (the second concert) In July, AJ spent over a month in rehab, dealing with alcoholism, anxiety and depression. In September, the world stopped rotating for a moment. In October, America fought back. In November, not much happened.... In December, well DUH, Christmas! t has been one hell of a year. Some good, some bad, but all very interesting. I suppose everyone has heard the news, though. Of course you did if you came to this page through the main page. Nick got arrested. I seriously hope this isn't an omen of how the remainder of the year will turn out. Sweet little Nick....arrested for a bar fight. What a stupid thing to do. With millions of fans world-wide, you'd think the boy has more sense than that....guess not. It IS seriously disappointing, though. The guy we all thought was perfect, arrested. I bet his Mom was MAD! :P Yeah....and I bet Kevin had a bitch-fit, too. LOL. Sorry...had to add SOME kind of humor to the whole situation. Oh well, Maybe he's learned his lesson. I hope so. RESOLUTIONS! Let's talk about those for a while. I (Katie) had 12 in all. And they were, for the most part, profound life-changing resolutions. I rung (is that a word?) in the new year with Abbie...again. We do it every year. Dick Clark, fizzy grape juice and roastimg marshmallows, the whole nine yards. It was great. Since New Year's, we've been visited by Jack Frost, and he sucks. It's been snowing for the past two days straight. In Georgia, that's ALOT. It like NEVER snows. But it's cool. I wish I could go visit Abbie, but there's like 5 inches of snow on the roads, so no. We were supposed to go back to school on the 4th (today) but HAHAHA, we got the weekend. We should go back Monday, but maybe not. It depends on if this damn snow melts or not. And let me tell you, seeing my six-pound maltesejump around in the snow barking at the sky when snow flakes hit her butt is pure excitement. Okay, I think it's time for me to sign off now.... December 17, 2001 Hi there. Miss us? We know. Abbie's a psycho-chick, remember? Well, anyways, UPDATES! We have actually added some new material. YAY for us. And for you. We added a new section called Tickle Me Backstreet. We also updated FOTW, but not confessions. We added a little something in Pickin' on Howie AND in Psycho-Chick Abbie. We also added a link in the Links page. We've been busy little beavers, huh? Oh yeah, Katie updated her "Katie" page. Well, I think that does it for the updates. Let's get on to the news. In Backstreet News, we have no Freaking idea what's going on. I don't think either of us have been keeping up, really. I suppose everything's cool with them. I heard Howie call Carson the other day on TRL. He says that BSB is NOT breaking up (like we didn't already know that) and he also mentioned that they have just wrapped up the B&B tour and will be taking the Holidays off, then in January will head back into the studio to record a Kevin-proclaimed "more organic album". And they were #1 on TRL that day. I guess they're kicking ass right now. They beat out 'N Sync's "Gone" for the top spot. So, good for them! I also saw that video for "What's Going On". Man, EVERYBODY is in that video! The guys looked so good. I think Nick has lost weight. Not that he was fat, though. But he just looks smaller. I think he's just making room for the Holiday turkeys. Oh, other bits of info: Howie carried the olympic torch and Kevin is hiking up Mt. Rainer. In US news, school is out for the holidays. We go back on January something-or-other. We have three WHOLE weeks off, in any case. I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself. I suppose I'll find soemthing to do. I (Katie) turned 17 on Dec. 11. Tell me Happy Birthday.........Thanks! Anyway, Football season ended rather "abruptly" as our local newspaper called it. I think it just sucked. We got the crap beat out of us by the same people that kicked our asses last year. Americus, GA has a great football team, but I think they need to lose just once. They beat us for the State Championship last year, and this year in the 3rd round of playoffs. It sucked, but hey, at least it wasn't mine and Abbie's senoir year. THAT would suck to go out like that. I think the final score was like 34-7. Oh well. Christmas is comming REALLY QUICK this year. I'm looking forward to it this year, more than usual. I've got good friends, good family (for the most part) and life is good in general this year. Speaking of good things, I aced ALL four of my final exams at school. That ROCKED. The only complaint I have is that I made 6 points higher in my Chemistry exam than I did on my Band exam. Isn't that weird? I'm hoping to fix this page so that it's 2 pages now. It's just getting to be too big for one page, especially when I write this much every time I make a big update. Maybe by the time somebody reads this, I'll have it fixed. Speaking of fixed, I cleaned my bathtub tonight. I started at like 11:30. I used that Clorox Clean-Up Gel. I thought for YEARS that I was allergic to Clorox, but I got some on my hands tonight (I was wearing gloves) and nothing happened. I guess I'm not so allergic after all. But don't tell my Mom. I'd have to wash dishes all the time. (that story wan't important, but I don't care) One more REALLY cool thing to report: There's a BIG movie being filmed in the town right next to us, Crawfordville. It's a Disney movie called Sweet Home Alabama, starring Reese Witherspoon. Now, THIS is the cool part: Abbie's Dad works in Crawfordville and while sitting down to lunch one afternoon, in walks Reese, her baby and the baby's nanny. How COOL is that? He didn't say anything to her, because he figured she wanted her privacy. A few days later, Abbie went to work with her Dad and she walked around town a bit. She said they were filming and she SAW Reese. SO cool. Abbie saw a movie star. WOW. I can't wait until the movie comes out so that we can all say that that was our neighboring town. Yay. Well, I guss that's all I can report for this update. It's 2:44 in the morning and I'm tired, but check back soon! I have to do SOMETHING during the holidays. I'm actually working on some stuff for the "Say Cheesie" section. Maybe I'll finish sometime this millennium. November 21, 2001 It's been a while, hasn't it? A whole month without us? Could you bear it? I'm sure you could. Well, alot has happened. Alot hasn't happened. Katie has been working herself silly with the band. Abbie's been chillin' at the house. And everything is pretty good right now. We didn't add anything, but we DID update FOTW and confessions for ya. Those needed it. BAD. Katie is thinking of starting her own page (non-Backstreet related). And Both of us have been a little too busy lately do update alot. We just wanted to let you guys know we're still here. And we're still TRYING to get some new ideas for the site. We'll check back soon. LATER! love peace and Howie grease, Katie & Abbie October 21, 2001 We're BAAAAAAAAAAACKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!! ......Kinda. We updated at least! And we have a new section for you! Aren't you proud? We know ya are! Anyway, the new section is Say Cheesie! And a link to it can be found on the main page. We updated Confessions and FOTW for ya, too. Well, what have WE been up to? ALOT! Katie's been marching her little behind off while Abbie's been chillin' at home all week. It's not laziness, though. It's an old injury flare-up. Abbie broke her hip in 5th grade roller-blading on a school trip and now it has arthritis and she hasn't been taking her Vioxx so, it got inflamed and now she's on crutches again. lol....there's the whole story! We've been on a winning streak lately. We've won all our football games except the first two. We held our annual Marching Festival on the 6th. That was fun. The next week, we went to a marching festival upstate. That was okay. Our scores could have been better, but we'll survive. Katie's finally getting her personal life together and taking out the trash and stuff. So, that's good. :) Abbie hasn't been at school all week to witness it, though. She was sick :( Poor Beib! We went to the mall prom dress shopping Saturday. That was fun. Yeah, it's early but it can't hurt to start looking! We ate at our little place, too. So, we had a good time. Katie has news about this summer! She will (most likely) be going with a small group of classmates to Europe! We're working on getting Abbie to go too! Our Spanish teacher is getting together a little group of students and along with one of the Science teachers at our school, going to Italy, France, and Spain. It's like $2000 for 14 days. That's alot of money, but totally worth it. I think we've decided that there will be no boys allowed. That'll make it ALOT easier. Oh well....I'll send postcards. Well, we're gonna go now. And even stranger how after TWO weeks, things are back the way they were before anything ever happened and everybody pretends it didn't happen? I just thought that should be the thought for the day. Things change so quickly when you get to high school. I'm just beginning to realize that and it's my junior year! But, I don't suppose you're here for my wisdom. You're here for my jokes. So, let them begin.... This week is homecomming week. AKA: Spirit Week!!! This is the week where you have different dress-up days. Monday: Pajama Day (wear your pj's to school) Tuesday: Tacky Day (be as tacky as possible) Wednesday: Costume Day (dress up as anything or anyone you want) Thursday: GQ Day (Come in prom dresses or a Tux) Friday: Spirit Day (Blue & Gold from head to toe!) Well, I (Katie) Dressed up for PJ Day monday, but not tacky day. Today, Wednesday (Costume Day) was the funniest day ever, though. My friend Crystal and I wanted to be Beavis and ButtHead soooooooo bad, but we couldn't find the costumes, so we settled for foam McDonald's Fries and A Shake costumes. I was the fries and Crystal was a Shake. We looked so sexy. Yeah....that's it. It was fun except for the part about everybody trying to bite me all day long. Oh well. Whatever. It was funny anyway. That's about all I have to report on this time. Well, I have more, but I also have a project for government class due tomorrow.
