I enjoy a good read, although I do not get to do it as often as I'd like to. I am currently in the middle of the 3rd in the Harry Potter series.(Ah yes, even I have been sucked in by this insane craze) The books are very, very well written. I originally only picked the first book up to see what the craze was all about. Now I am completely enchanted(hahaha) with the series.

If you are reading this and are also enthrawled with the HP series, I have several other books that I would like to suggest to you:

1. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe -- By C.S. Lewis

Absolutely a Classic, and a must read. Although I read it many times as a young person, I have also enjoyed reading it as an adult. The stories bear different meanings at different ages. Suggested reading for ages 8 and up. However, children younger than 8 love to hear the stories.(hint-hint)

2. The Tower of Geburah (a 5 novel series) -- By John White

A fantastic set of books! Similar concepts to the Lewis series, but more indepth and more detailed. Very, very good reading. The books are fairly thick, however, if kids 9 and up can race through HP4 in 2-3 days, they should have no problem getting a start on these.

3. In the Hall of the Dragon King -- By Steven R. Lawhead

Lawhead is renowned for his historical accuracy. This particualar series is fanastical, and yet easy to believe. Once again, the reading is a bit rough. I would suggest it to readers 11 and up. These are some of the best books I have ever read... simply wonderful.

4. The Lord of the Rings Series -- By J.R. Tolkein

Tolkein is one of my all-time-favorite authors. I would suggest reading ANY ONE of this man's books. His books are completely enthralling, difficult to put down, and simply marvelous. His books are not easy to read, but not hard to read, either. I would suggest the books to ages 10 or 11 and up.(depends on the reader.)

If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me. I would be more than happy to help!! :] Remember... books are your friends!
