emily
you wrote your heart
acrossed a page
and now
i sit here
staring at you
in complete
facination
as you
stare back at me
from this
crumpled
paper
amazingly
it was not until now
that i began
to realize
you have not only
captured
my eye
but the deepest
corners of
my heart
and my
soul
as i look
i cannot help
but wonder what it was
that kept you
so close
to home
and so far away
from so many
fanciers
that knocked on
or sat
at your
doorstep
what is it
that kept you
from all the people
that could have
loved you
for all you were
all you are
and what
you will
never cease
to be
at least
to me
dearest emily
you are so alive
what you are
is a mystery
sweet girl
of poetry
how i adore you
beautiful
quiet
dark
emily
you had
no clue
years later
i would fall in love
with you
over and over
again
with you
and all
your words
emily
tell me
how it was for you
were you sad
lonely
angry
blue
or just a girl
afraid of her
shadow
never knowing
that your shadow
would be
exaclty
what i wish
i could be
just your
shadow
or perhaps
i could be
a mist
hovering
floating
above you
over and
around
you
like you hang
around me
in your
glorious words
and your
poetry
oh precious girl
how truly
incredible
it would it
be just
to be able
to hear it all
spoken to me
from your
sweet lips
the real
you
oh emily
if only you could
give me just
a glimpse
of you
allow me just
one chance
to see
a piece
even just
a glimer
of what it is
that you
are
open up your heart
and show me
your words
your love
and all
your splendor
that now
brilliantly shines
through me
in my
my words
that so often come
from you
and your
poetry
dearest
my love for you
is so powerful
and yet
there are
no words
to use
with which I could
thank you for
your voice
which you
passed on
to me
with all my heart
my deepest
respect and
sincerest
love
i now thank you
for your words
and now
my own
dearest
darling
emily
