My cousin Jimmy has been diagnosed with the rare genetic disorder known as cri du chat. Cri du chat ("Cry of the cat") was what it was called by its discoverer, Professor Lejeune (he also discovered Downs Syndrome). He described it this way after noticing the cries of the babies who had the disease. All Jimmy has to keep himself busy and make life interesting is his basketball that he likes to bounce. He can't play basketball, but he really loves it. He really loves watching Vince Carter of the Toronto Raptors. Jimmy wishes he could fly in the air like Vince and dunk the ball through the hoop. But, Jimmy can't. But, the only thing Jimmy wants in the world is to see a Toronto Raptors basketball game. Since his mom can barely afford his medical bills and has to work to support Jimmy, she never has enough time or money to take Jimmy to a Raptors game. So donate a little money so Jimmy can see what dreams are made of and make a little boy's dream come true.

Jimmy needs your help! It wasn't his fault that his chromosome 5 had some problems. All Jimmy needs is some money to pay for sign language lessons. Jimmy wants to learn how to sign "Go Vince", since he is unable to speak the words. Jimmy needs your help, so please send him a donation because he wants to see what it's like to fly in person. If you don't want to help Jimmy you can help one of his friends. If you don't want to help them help someone else with the disease. The number one symptom is a speech impediment. They need help and can receive treatment to get a chance at a better life. This disease isn't very common, but its effect on the fifth chromosome has harmful effects. Please, if you don't help Jimmy, help someone with this rough disease.
