Gor is not BDSM Huh!!!???
Goreans Lifestylers do not concede that there is any connection between themselves and any other BDSM group. People who indulge in BDSM activity are “sick” and Goreans want nothing to do with them. If one looks at BDSM activity, a vast area, then it is quite clear that this statement is again a complete nonsense.
B= Bondage plenty of that in Gorean Novels. Believe me the descriptions of how the slaves are tied and restrained is a constant and repetitive theme.
D= Domination plenty of that in Gorean Novels. Every few pages some man is dominating someone else.
S=Submission/Surrender/Slavery/Sadism. Plenty of the first three in the Gorean novels. So much so that it is hard to turn a page that does not depict it.
However Sadism is
an area that Lifestylers will never accept. And they will again use the oft

make up their whole philosophy, which although in one book, is contradicted
so frequently it becomes meaningless.
Lifestylers will indignantly
point out that Gorean men are never sadistic, they use pain as a tool to correct
a girls behaviour but do not enjoy doing so. In the books, although there
may not be descriptions of men becoming sexually aroused at such activity,
they are definitely not concerned with using extreme cruelty as a tool to
either correct or dispose of girls. Whether this behaviour might be considered
sadistic is a moot point. If sexual pleasure in inflicting pain is the true
definition of sadism and they do not derive such pleasure out of it, that
is fair comment. However, Gorean men in the books certainly are mostly indifferent
to a girl’s physical and emotional pain and many may feel that this could
certainly be called a definition of sadism. I also know that there have been
some Gorean Masters who have spent a great deal of time involved in what I
call very sadistic behaviour. One *elder* 
in
particular has talked endlessly to girls, finding out their secrets and hopes
and fears, and he then denounces them amongst the Gorean Community as that
most scorned of girls “a subbie.”
Many a girl has been so badly hurt by this betrayal of trust, and I find it so despicable, that I would wish the perpetrator, did I not pity him so, some form of retribution. Certainly this man is a sadist.
M= Master/Mistress/Masochism plenty of the former two on Gor, and as to the Masochism, again Lifestylers state Gorean slave girls do not enjoy their punishments. However, although Gorean Punishments are so severe only the most dedicated masochist could enjoy most of them, there are certainly descriptions in the books of girls responding in a sexual manner to the more reasonable switchings and whippings, although admittedly they tend to not get too turned on about the thought of being killed
. So this again is
an online fallacy, perpetuated by the few who tutor the many. So it can be
argued that Gor is in the same backyard as any other form of BDSM. Lifestylers
however are having none of it . Being of Gor is different and special.
