Now I scorn and ridicule you and care not one jot for the pain I have caused, however you are harming me..... and must stop at once.
Although the Lifestylers glory in their intolerance and what they perceive
to be their notoriety, they expect others to tolerate them and except their
rules and take on board their concerns.
If anyone ever complains about their conduct and offers sometimes quite heart rending pleas concerning some aspect of how they are being affected by some area of Gorean interaction, they are met with harshness and dismissal. Quite reasonable exchange of views is met with them stating that the person they are debating with is “Whining.”

e.g. “Do not whine to us about what you cannot understand.”
“Your whining on this issue is being judged by Gorean men”
“You have chosen to involve yourself with a dangerous and adult lifestyle choice. Do not whine to us because you are unable to live within the confines of this community.”
“You, subbie princess, do not have the strength and intelligence to be a slave to Gorean men.”

However, none whine louder then these Lifestylers over how they perceive the Role Players bring their lifestyle into disrepute. The are very angry that people come online and play at being a Master riding a tarn and swooping down to capture a lovely slave. They state that to them it is not a game, it is real, and not to be confused with playing games.
They do not want their fine and difficult Lifestyle to be associated with a crowd who play what is considered to be little more than a Dungeon and Dragon game. However, as I have stated, one of the most vocal of these Lifestylers, who at great personal expense has provided web pages and vast forums about the subject is one of the most guilty of making such statements about tarns and swords.
I don’t know if they consider that those who play war games bring the military into disrepute. Or those who may have as children played at ‘cops and robbers’, bring the police into disrepute. However, as I have pointed out, they role play that they are what they are not, as much as the role players who admit that they are playing a game, which certainly seems more honourable conduct to me.
