Those awful ungorean
speeches from Gorean slave girls
Another strange thing corrupted from the books is the use of third person speech for slaves. In the books a girl in training may occasionally be commanded to “speak like a slave”, Then she will be required to refer to herself in the third person. E.g. “Ele is sorry Master, don’t punish Ele.” or if she is wheedling for favour she may use third person. E.g.. “Choose Butter Pan Master, Butter Pan is best, choose her.” That is as far as it goes. However, online is a different matter.
Those who rule online decided that it is Gorean and pleasing for slaves to speak third person, so like a lot of sheep all Gorean venues adopted it, and believe that it is indicative of the books. The few who have said that they actually find it irritating are soon denounced as ungorean. So one sees the spectacle of girls typing that they are speaking in an extremely odd way that has never graced the pages of any Gorean novel.
e.g. “This one is just wondering if a girl might beg to ask if it pleases the Free if jenny may make a point about what talender was saying about her Master requiring Bosk milk in His Black Wine. talender if jenny is asked to bring milk to a Master she does so, as it is not this girls place to correct a Master and point out that only Bosk Cream is used. This girls only purpose is to please the Free and a girl is not there to point out to Masters that what He is saying is not Gorean. A girl feels that the Free should do this, and that jenny should only concentrate on being pleasing and beautiful. talender says that we should help those new to Gor to learn about our ways, but a girl feels this is not up to us as slaves. This girl wishes all the Masters a lovely day. This girl wishes all the Mistresses a lovely day. This girl wishes all her sisters a lovely day, and begs mercy that her words have been found pleasing to the Free. jenny{KING}"

Read through a few like that, (and there are a great many just like it), and One’s head really begins to ache. This coupled with anything to do with slaves having to be typed in lower case and anything to do with Masters in upper, again make it hard on the eyes.
