The Nahunta Pool is owned and operated by the Nahunta Swim Club, a non-profit, organization, established in 1973, comprised of shareholders that own the pool and surrounding property, to include the ballfield. The shareholders elect officers/board members to three year terms and vote on regulation and guidelines to run the pool. All day to day operations are determined by the shareholders (Nahunta Swim Club Members). Board members and shareholders only are allowed to attend meetings.
If you become a shareholder, you actually own a piece of the pool, and have a direct impact on how you want your pool to be operated. Annual fees, renovation projects, daily hours of operation, and everything else associated with the pool is directed by the Nahunta Swim Club. It pays to buy a share and become a member of the Nahunta Swim Club.
The pool is run on a non-profit budget, dues are determined by shareholders to cover expenses and upgrades as required. Dues may change depending on the amount of shareholders and expenses. Shareholders will have privileges that may or may not extend to season pass holders that have purchased a family swimming pass. For instance: Shareholders will receive ten free passes to bring guests within the 15 mile radius to the pool with them. All season pass holders are required to pay $5 for guests to visit the pool with them. All guest(s) must checkin with the lifeguard and require to be with a member or season pass holder. Guest that do not follow the pool rules will be asked to leave and may not return unless permited.
All children under 8 years of age require adult supervision and will not be left alone.
The costs for pool parties are $25 for shareholders and $75 for season pass holders. This needs to be paid at the time the party is booked. It is non-refundable if the party is canceled with 48 hours of the party's scheduled time.
**Family Season swimming passes may not be offered every year.
Public admittance and daily swim passes are not offered at the Nahunta Pool. Shareholders, Annual Family Swim Pass Holders and their invited guests are allowed admittance to the Nahunta Pool.
We do not have the large crowds that other pools have because we are not a business, the pool is for the enjoyment of its members. Enjoying some quality family time with friends and members is our #1 goal. Coolers with snacks and drinks are allowed. Our drink machine prices are only 50 cents. You also can schedule your own pool party at off duty hours. 2 hours maximum party times.
