Report:

The return fixture had thrown up an exciting and emotional 4-3 away victory for Branton, this being their only win of the season to date, but Wath were not about to roll over and conceed the double. They showed the same fighting spirit that only a week earlier had earned them 2 points with a 2 goal comeback over Stainforth at home.
It didn't look good when Andy Goodwin had to be replaced after just 3 minutes, due to a pulled muscle. Liam Jackson went into midfield and Dearden pushed up front. The Saints went a goal down after just 6 minutes, with Antony Rowe's handball not being given, and a Branton stiker pouncing on the confusion. It was an indifferent half really, with most of the play in midfield. Branton kept Wath at bay with some tough tackling. They doubled their lead on 32 minutes with a cool finish from inside the area. Once again, Wath found themselves in a precarious situation. It was all about to change when Jamie Skirrow won the ball on the left in his own half, then played an excellent crossfield ball to Windle who then put Shane Brown in with a chance to shoot. He rounded the keeper first, and blasted home from 9 yards to give Wath a shout. The teams went in at half time with the score at 2-1.
