I have worked very hard this month. In school I've been practicing my multiplication and geometry. I've also studied Ancient Rome. Did you know that most of our language is from Latin? (Which is what they spoke in Rome.)
One of the exciting things this month was going to the Notre Dame-Navy football game in Baltimore, Maryland. We sat at the very top of the stadium. It was a close game and Notre Dame won! We stayed overnight with our friends. The next day we went to the National Aquarium in Baltimore. At the aquarium we saw sting rays, sharks, seahorses, a rainforest, and even a dolphin show. After the dolphin show I wanted to learn more about dolphins. I have done some dolphin research. You can read what I learned on page 2 of this month's newsletter.
My dad became our Cub Scout leader! I am very proud! We have made wooden model boats, masks, and our pack had a sleep over. In piano lessons, I've been learning lots of songs. I am already practicing Christmas songs. I'm having fun in swimming and I'm doing pretty good. I am learning how to do the crawl stroke better.
Last week, we saw the Leonid Meteor shower. The Earth passed through the debris from a comet that orbits the sun. The Tempel-Tuttle comet takes 33 earth years to orbit the sun and every November the earth goes through the dust and rocks it left behind. We got up at midnight to watch the meteor shower. I bundled up a lot and I was still really cold! We could only see a few meteors because the moon was so bright, but it was still really cool! Check out some more information on meteors in the current event article on page 2. I also have the Monthly Math Challenge and this month there is also a P.E. challenge. My mom's aunt is a P.E. teacher and she suggested that I have a P.E. challenge. I hope you like it. The challenges can be found on page 3 of this month's news.

This book has real photographs and facts about 12 really interesting snakes from around the world. I wonder how they got the photographs of the snakes. If you want a really close and safe look at snakes, you should read this book.

An adventure begins!
Gabrielle loved the football game. She kept chanting, "Goooo Irish!!!" I think Gabrielle also loved the aquarium. After the dolphin show she wanted to see it again. She likes to say, " 'Member when we see the dolphins at the aquarium? Can we go again? Can we? Can we?" Gabrielle had a great November.
