Just as everyone had settled into there respective researching roles the front door to Angel Investigations burst open and three very pissed Vampires dove in different directions to avoid becomeing crispy critters. Kate came to an abrupt stop and looked at the occupants of the room with little less than unconceiled confusion. Shakeing off the fact that they had all tried to avoid direct sunlight, cos the possibilities of that were not of the fun
(There is no way that those other two are vampires, I just could not take it)
She closed the door quickly and offered a meak appolagy to Angel., never looking directly at him, she still wasnt comfortable with him being a creature of the night, she had thought she was on the way to falling for him, then she`d found out his true nature and she`d shut herself off from him. If she looked deep inside she`d be able to admit she was still falling for him, vampire or not. She took in the faces of the others in the room, a very pretty redhead, Delia, Doyle, and the two that had flung themselves out the way of the door, a woman, very dark and exotic, and a platinum blonde hottie. She wondered who the unnacounted ones were, but she had more troubleing things on her mind. With unconceiled scorn Delia asked
"And what can we do for you today kate?!"
"Well umm, I was hopeing to speak to Angel, Ive got a problem, and I think its,, umm well right up his Ally"
"Whats the problem Kate?"
"Is there somewhere more private we can go to discuss it?"
"Yeah sure, lets go in my office"
Willow watched the exchange wordlessly, then once the door had been shut she asked,
"So that was the imfamouse Detective Lockly huh?"
"Yup, that was her, although imfamouse isnt really the word I`d use for her!"
"Delia, thats not very nice, she cant be that bad"
"Yes she can, ever since she found out about Angel she`s been a complete bitch, and yet she still comes here to ask for his and our help, she just pisses me off thats all"
"Plus, she has a big jones for my sire, dont you agree Dru?"
Dru just kept quiet and her head down,
"And exactly how can you tell that?"
"Hello, willow luv, vampire senses, I could smell the arousal on her the minute she looked at him"
"oh"
Dru could have smacked Spike up side of the head, Willow, she could tell was haveing trouble with the fact that Angel was in love with her completely, she may be brave and pretend that she was convinced, for her sire, but Dru knew otherwise, and by the look on Delia`s face so did she. Willow had started to withdraw the minute Spike had opened his big trap, she was sat really quietly, acting like she didnt care that Kate was alone in the other room with her life mate, but failing misserably at the pretense. Dru turned to Spike and smacked him round the ear and then her and Delia were at Willows side in an instant,
"What?, What did I do Dru?"
"Just leave it blondie"
"Dont you start too Cheerleader"
Willow looked up at Dru and couldnt stop a few stray tears escapeing, what if Angel liked this Kate as much as the others said she liked him, she still wasnt completely beleiving when it came to how the brooding vampire felt about her, she thought that it was a dream she was gonna wake up from any minute. She knew she was being stupid, but she was just worriede it had all been a wonderful dream.
Mean while in Angels office Kate and Angel were sat in uncomfortable silence, Angel spoke first
"So whats up, why is this right up my Ally?"
"Well, there have been a few incidents of people comeing into the station and reporting attacks, but the attacks havent been from anything that sounds remotely human. The victims have been reluctant to say it, but they were scared wittless, and beatan up pretty badly. They all said the same thing though, the thing doesnt look normal."
"So you thought I might know something, well if you can get me a proper discription of this thing whatever it is, we might be able to do something about it"
"Yeah, ummm, speaking of we, who are the extra we`s, I mean I know Cordelia and Doyle, but who are the others?"
Angel not wanting to have to deal with an hysterical Kate opted out of telling the complete truth, and just told her the basics,
"Well, the guy and the brunnette woman are family, and the Redhead is my ..girlfriend"
"Oh, really, how long have you been together"
"a little over a week"
"Whats her name then,?"
"Willow, we`ve known each other about four years"
"Oh"
"So, if we can have the description we might be able to help"
"Okay, well I`ll try and get that to you as soon as possible"
Angel just wanted her to hurry up, he could feel Willow was upset through the bond and wanted to check she was okay, he didnt like the feelings of fear comeing through. So he stood up and ushered her out of his office. When he got back into the reception area he saw Dru and Delia huddled round Willow and Doyle and Spike sat in silence, the scene looked positively depressing.
Willow nearly jumped out of her skin when his office door opened, she turned pleading eyes on D and Dru and whispered,
"Dont say anything please, its just me being silly"
"Course not luvvy"
"Okay Wills, promise"
