Persepolis, Fars Province. The many buildings which make up Persepolis are on an artificial terrace about 300 meters long and 450 meters wide, between 10 and 20 meters above ground-level. One can not justify the amount of work that has gone intothe creation of Persepolis. One must see it with their eyes to be able to truly appreciate it. If stress for time this is one place that should be on your list of places to see.
