Ryu Kyu Kobujutsu Hozon Shinko Kai
pioneer exponent of the art of karate in the country the Karatedo Goju Kai Association Sri Lanka is on of the oldest Martial Arts associations in the island.
The Honbu Dojo is at 36, 1st Lane, Jambugasmulla Road, Nogegoda the residence of the late shihan and is used exclusively for training in martial arts.
The primary objective of the association is the propagation of the art of Goju Ryu karate in Sri Lanka by providing facilities to learn under qualified instructors some of whom have trained under Saiki Shihan Goshi Yamaguchi in Japan.
In the art of weaponary the association is the direct representative of the International Ryu kyu Kobujutsu Hozon Shinko kai, Japan and is the first martial arts body in Sri Lanka to conduct training in the traditional weapons.
Every attempt is made to discipline and condition the minds of the students in addition to the development of fighting skills and the physical well being. Training is provided at the honbu doja and branches. In addition training is provided at a number of reputed schools.
For the benefit of those under extreme time pressure private classes are arranged at the honbu dojo or at the residence of the person concerned.
We are the only branch in Sri Lanka accredited by the International Goju-Kai Karatedo Association (IKGA) and the Ryu Kobujutsu Hozon Shinko Kai, Japan
