Every so often the goat will speak out about a particular album. The goat is not afraid to speak his mind. First up is SlipKnoT's self title debut. What did the goat think after two years of listening to it? (obviously not non-stop).
Well and truely goated
What the goat thinks:

This album is claimed by many "as the most fucked up album ever". Unfortunately I disagree, to cut a long story short most of the tracks are pants. Upon first hearing the album I thought the music was fresh and heavy, but on a second listen I realised the music was a bit samey. One thing that has always bewildered me is the popularity of track 4 "Wait And Bleed". Why would full blown metal lovers listen to a song with crap riffs, boy-band vocals and hip-hop scratching? There is, in fact, only one song which does the album justice - "(sic)". Despite no proper chorus and rather poor lyrics the song sounds rounded and lively. Nowadays I find the only way to listen to "SlipknoT" is to pretend they are a comedy act. Basically the sum of my advice is: if you want intense music - buy a Muse album, if you want heavy music  - buy something by Black Sabbath, and if you want something sickening by the Bloodhound Gang's album.

Of course if u like SlipknoT please don't fall out with the goat. Remember - everyone has a different taste in music.
Any ideas as to what the goat should review next time? If you have then e-mail the goat by clicking this box.
Why did you bother to scroll all the way down here?
