RUSSIA

This is another symbol of Russia - the Coat of Arms.

Many people think that Russia is the land of eternal cold and wild bears walking on towns' streets. To prove that this is far from being true I invite you into the virtual trip around Russia. Discover or recall the beautiful landscapes of that vast land the name of which is RUSSIA, walk along the historical and modern places of many different Russian towns, enjoy the masterpieces of human creative thought and nature's perfect solutions gathered together under one roof.

I will try to modestly lead you through the places I visited at different times: from the time I was a kid till the time I left this beautiful country to seek a satisfying job abroad. Deep inside I feel sure to come back and continue that endless journey through Russia. It's impossible to stop on that journey: each place is not like the other, and you never can say that you know ALL the Russia's ins and outs.

I would like to begin by asking you to go inside this map and see Russia closer. There are 2 more maps inside to show the whole country, as well as the region and small town where I was born and spent my first 17 years before I left that warm nest and my dear parents for Moscow: to get the higher education and to push the chemical science - the thing I am still doing, but at another place.

Though there are so many pearls in the Northern Caucasus, probably the most beautiful among them is Pyatigorsk ,- the town hidden among five mountains. It is famous with its springs, fresh air and climate that attract people to get new vitality and improve health problems. I was lucky to visit this town when I was a kid staying in a scouts' camp nearby.

Big town Baku now is the capital of Azerbaijan.

This big and famous city is not now the part of my country, but I am sure you will enjoy the beautiful old architecture of Baku ,- the capital of Azerbaijan. I visited this city 3 or 4 times and was enchanted by its old parts and the subway system, one of its own kind.

If you visit the Northern Caucasus, do not forget to stay some days in Krasnodar - the capital of another important territory in that part of Russia. It is famous with its kind and hospital people that always are happy to have guests. I visited this place twice, and have those kid's impressions that last forever.
