Engine Engine No. 9
Coming down the Railroad Line
These engineers know the right time
They are our husbands; hers and mine

When these wonderful men finally met
They shared good times, they'd ne're forget
Bud had his working, but no scenery
Ric's could barely move; save the styroform for me
Now we city gals have both moved to the country
My sister went further North, but the South was for me
Ric's trains are in one of the two garages here
This haven is just bringing so many days of cheer

Bud's trains are packed, but he'll get them set up
Well, Arlene, just fill up your cup
Once he gets started he'll never stop
At least they'll be working, with smoke from the top
Go West, young men, as they were told
Yet now we're no spring chickens, but we're getting old
Their hobbies are their trains and fishing you see
Thank God we have phones, cause they save me

We've all gone west, in our special ways
Still sharing our lives on happy days
God was good to us; our hubbies are really top
We won't get off that train until it comes to a stop
