Just the other day I called my sister, don't ya know She said it was really cold up there, they were getting snow I laughed and said it's 60 here, I like the way it is All that snow they're getting, please keep it there, Sis A few years ago I told her that we were moving South The laughter and the tears and words from her mouth Then a few years later she was moving further North I tried to warn her of the weather, but she just moved on forth

Now they're living near their son, and visit them she will She just is so lucky her legs work to go up the hill Then one day she went for the mail, and fell on her arse I tried to warn her, but I couldn't be harsh Now we're both country gals, living so far apart Before I left New Jersey, she gave me half her heart Now when I look at it, it's very plain to see She'll always be a friend, but she's also a sister to me

Now here in my little neck of the wood I hear folks saying they'd like to see snow if they could They haven't seen a good snowstorm since 1985 Where I came from it's a miracle I'm still alive Now if I'm bored, I can just pick up the phone Talking with my sister, I'm never alone She says the weather's really crazy up there I tell her not to worry cause she's always in my prayer
