TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR FS-U STARTERS

These Starters are intended for Fluorescent Lamps of 4W to 80W ratings for 220 - 250 Voltage supply, 50 Hz.

Starters have following characteristics

Dimension & Mechanical tests : As per all relevant world standards. ( IEC 155, BS 3772 )

Capacitor :- 6 kpf ± 5% capacitoe has been incorporated for radio interference suppression which has sufficient resistance to moisture and can withstand 1.5 KV AC flash test.

Ignition Time:-
Ballast with short circuit current of 0.56 to 0.63 amps. At 240 V 50 Hz. are used.
·Capacitors of 3.15 + 5% mfd are used.
·Tube lamp of ?Philips? make 36 W are used.

Inductive circuits (LPF):-
At 175 Voltage, lamp will ignite within 10 sec.

Capacitive circuit (HPF):-
At 180 Voltage, lamp will ignite within 15 sec.
At 190 Voltage, lamp will ignite within 10 sec.
At 240 Voltage, lamp will ignite within 7 sec.

Peak Voltage : Peak Voltage tested at 180 V will be minimum of 500 Voltage and the average will not be below 800 Voltage.

Endurance test:-
·30 sec. on / 30 sec. off, on 80 W inductive circuit will complete 10000 cycles (maximum failure accepted: 10%)

·30 sec. on / 30 sec. off, on 36 W lamp capacitive circuit will complete 10000 cycles (maximum failure accepted: 20%)

Deactivated lamp test:- Will complete 8 hours continuously without welding. Starting parameters will not change till first 4 hours.
