Judy's Art Page
Those of you who know me  know I like to look at things where we are and record my impressions in watercolor, pencil or pastels.  I've enjoyed the challenge of "really seeing" places with an artist's eye.  Here are a few of my latest efforts done in the UAE.
I've put them up as "Thumbnail"
works, so please click on each to link to the bigger picture.

The oldest mosque in the UAE, the tiny white mosque at Al Bidayah.  It dates from the 1700's.  Oil pastels on colored paper.  Judy Warren, 2000
I call this one "Camel Trading."  We've seen as many as 5 young camels tied down in the back of a truck.  The owner is sitting in his barasti hut bargaining over a pot of Arab coffee.  Pencil on paper. Judy Warren, 2000
"Omani Woman"-- oil pastels on
colored paper.
Judy Warren, 2000
High up in the Hajar Mountains, you'll find beautiful little villages.  This is the village of Al Sa'ad.  Gouache on colored paper. Judy Warren, 2000.
Here's a detail of my watercolor, "Bull-Butting in  the UAE." Watercolor and pen and ink on paper.   Judy Warren  2000
We like going camping where the desert meets the mountains, as it does here near the village of Al Ghail.  Oil pastel on colored paper.  Judy Warren 2000
