ROOBALL
FREE KICKS & PENALTIES
The GJSA would like to confirm the following rules, which
are in line with the existing 2004 Rules of Rooball;
Free Kicks
Where
an attacking team is awarded a Free Kick on or within
7 metres of the D circle line, the kick is to be taken
back 7 metres from the D line, so that the defending team
can establish a defensive wall. This common approach is
to be used for all GJSA Rooball games (ie U/6, U/8 &
U/10) to ensure that at all times opposing players are
at least 7 metres from the ball when a free kick is taken.
Penalties
In
terms of the Rules of Rooball any discrepancies inside
the D from the Defending Team will result in the Attacking
Team taking a Penalty Kick from the top of the D. The
inside of the D must be clear of all players except for
the Goal Keeper. Discrepancies by the defending team include
any handling of the ball inside the D by any defending
player other than the Goal Keeper or any other significant
foul or misconduct deemed by the Referee. |
