October 31-- This is strictly voluntary and will be a family project instead of a troop project. Girls will collect old eyeglasses during Trick-or-Treat night, which will be repaired, classified by prescription, and given to people in developing countries who need glasses.
November 1 -- Appalachian Festival-Storytelling, hands-on Appalachian crafts, demonstrations by talented craftspeople and Appalachian music and dance are just a few of the festivities that will take place.
November 15 -- Meeting theme: Use resources wisely
We will be making ornaments for the Girl Scouts of Tanasi Council tree at the Festival of Trees. This meeting will also be our investiture ceremony. More details to follow.
