Girl Scout Troop 656 started in 2001 with Kindergarteners from Duveneck and Addison Schools. About half of our troop joined at that time. More joined in 1st grade as Brownies when we split off to become just a Duveneck troop. Finally, four more joined in 4th grade from a combination troop at our school and one more in 5th grade.
Then, in sixth grade, we had seven active members, all attending Jordan Middle School. By seventh grade, we had eight active members, but three of them were from Jane Lathrop Stanford Middle School. (Thing sure change fast in middle school!)
