2004-2005
Our first big event of the 2004-2005 Scouting year was going to the California Caverns in Calaveras County.  This was a mother-daughter camping trip for our troop.  The moms went through the caves with us.  Then we cooked and sang songs while camping.  The next day we panned for gold and gems.

In October we hosted a bandana-making party and invited all the Girl Scout troops at Duveneck. We did all the planning, helped the girls use fabric pens to decorate, and taught a song and a game.

Some girls made Flat Stacies, which are supposed to be paper versions of themselves.  The Stacies traveled around the USA and then went to a tea party in Florida for Thinking Day.

Our troop worked on some try-its, such as Science Wonders, Earth Is Our Home, Penny Power, People Are Talking, and Sounds of Music.  Some girls worked on their first Junior badge when they went to Sky Search at Chabot Science Center.

We also went to Brownie Skills Day, an ice skating party, a swim party, the Girl Scout fun run, and a Spring Celebration service project for our school.

We earned the Bridge to Junior Girl Scouts Award, which included planning our own bridging ceremony.
