Strengths:
Arenas has an outstanding
saturation towards the moves like stumbling steps, crossovers, and alteration of
directions. He finds it irresistible to create offense for him particularly when
playing in one-on-one situations. In due course of time he has become a much
more reliable 3-point shooter. Defensively he has rapid hand movements and
competes in the passing lanes very well. He owns reasonably good shot selection.
He is smooth in his actions and plays well in traffic. He has an average pick up
according to his size. Even though his numbers were not great he played with
Michael Wright and Loren Woods. He is an above standard shooter off the dribble.
Weakness:
Arenas seems to face troubles while defending
tall players. Even he lacks the suitable height (6-3) to play shooting guard.
Since he tries to do too much with ball, turnovers are a problem for Arenas. He
seems to have an inclination to shoot irregularly from the 3-point line and has
still more to do with his technicalities. He also needs to continue to improve
his mid-range as it moves through stages of unpredictability and should work on
improving his ball management. |
