| PPetition against the Altering or limiting of Distribution of Asian films - This petition is directed twards Disney (Miramax, Dimension) who have stopped the distribution in the U.S. of some great Hong Kong/Asian films as they were originally filmed and have altered their versions( i.e. renaming of the film, deleted footage...altering the score and changing dialouge so much it is not like the original at all) of those films(Fist of Legend, the Hitman, Legend of Zu, etc) to sell in the states exclusivly. So show your support and sign the petition so we, as die hard fans of Asian cinema, can have the choice to get the movies as they are meant to be seen....or thier versions...a choice that should be left to US!!! | Martial Arts movies have gone through several changes and genres during the years. Many of those who are old enough recall KUNG FU THEATER. Movies with the classic feel of the Shaolin Temples and stories of revenge and honor. Of course you couldn't forget the bad english dubbed dialoge along with the wire gags that made them complete. Examples would be "THE FIVE DEADLY VENOMS", "SNAKE AND CRANE", "FIVE FINGERS OF DEATH", IRON MONKEY", and even today's "CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON" Today you can still by them online and of course the LINKS page on our club has those sites to help you buy many of these same movies. They still occassionally air on televison for those who are fortunate to see them. On this list our movies will be labled in several catergories. KUNG FU THEATER, MARTIAL ARTS, and ANIMATION. KUNG FU THEATER: Will discribe the classic dubbing and/or wire gag movies. MARTIAL ARTS: Will discribe those movies more modern and do not use wires or such being more realistic. ANITMATION: Features martial arts in animated form...fantasy or realistic. |

An architet and his brother capture a wanted man named Killer in Thailand. When he escapes from prison is only thoughts are of getting revenge against his captors. They recapture Killer but not before he kills the brothers family and holds his girlfriend captive in Japan. They are forced to let Killer go or the brothers girlfriend will be killed. When they get to Japan they are made an offer to work for the King Pin who wants to take over Killers operation and would like Killer out of the picture. Starring: David Chaing; Ti Lung; Yasuaki Kurata; Ku Feng; Chen Sing. Directed By: Chang Cheh AVENGING WARRIORS OF SHAOLIN - ( KUNG FU THEATER ) SHAW BROTHERS. AKA (Avenging Warriors) This time the venoms play five martial arts masters studying different forms of kung fu. When a Shaolin hero is injured in a battle with the Wu Tang men the Venoms must combine to learn a new fighting style to help defeat the enemies of Shaolin. The ending fight sequence show cases many different fighting styles using anything and everything as a weapon. Old School mayhem- Venom Style. This is a great movie. This movie is what started me in kung fu. This has the best last fight. The best weapons action I have seen. Three patriots are killed and each of there sons are taken by masters of kungfu and taught over the years. 18 years later there paths cross. An ancient kungfu manual that was seperated into 2 volumes is the source of there reuniting. Starring: Alexander Fu Sheng; Hui Ying-hung;Tien Niu; Li Hsiu-hsien Directed By: Chang Cheh CHALLENGE OF THE MASTERS - ( KUNG FU THEATER ) SHAW BROTHERS Teh Wong family kung fu school gets smacked around by a rival school. Wong Fei-hong gets fed up with the abuse and goes to learn from his fathers master. After one of the rival schools members kills some of the towns people Wong Fei-hong becomes enraged trains even more comes back and gets his revenge.
