Gian was in a car accident on the night of june 5th. The impact broke most of Gian's chest and caused him to hit his head incredibly hard. The doctors performed surgery, but due to bleeding and cranial swelling Gian unfortunately didn't survive through the weekend.

Gian died June 7th 2003 at 6:12 PM.

Gian's death shocked a community. No one would have ever thought that his life would be taken away so suddenly at such a young age. His memorial mass was at St. Stephens Catholic Church on Tuesday June 10, 2003. Family and friends were present, as we all saw how much Gian really was loved and respected by so many.
