Lily:
This movie was one of the best movies I have ever seen! I was literally on the edge of my seat the whole time my eyes transfixed on the screen wondering who was going to die next and trying to guess who the killer or killers were wondering if the chick would get away wondering what was going on it was great I was almost scared almost. It was a great movie thoughI watched it in German with English subtitles, which made it even cooler. Its great. I loved itand hey, two thumbs way, way up for our leading ladywhat a dishwhat a doll. * Smile *

I think Lily hit the nail on the head with her review so I am only going to add a few pieces of trivia for your delectation. This Movie showcases German Superstar Franke Potente (Run Lola Run). There is no one genre that defines Potente. She has been in comedies, Tear-Jerkers, and now horror... ok so it can't be horror if I don't find it scary but hey... thats what its billed as... I think the best part about this movie is the fact that it is IN German and I found it in the USA. One last note... Franke Potente is now trying to become as famous in the US as she is in Germany. She is Starring opposite Matt Damon in "the Bourne Identity" scheduled for release in late 2002.
Lily: Freddies dead!! Yes! Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, oh happy day! Finally! They killed him!! Woo hoo! Of course, our boy doesnt go down without a fight, and a comical one at that. In what seems to be the sixtieth film in the horrendous Nightmare on Elm Street saga, our boy Fred Krueger has finally succeeded in killing off almost every single child in his little town. Now what? As he suffers from post-homicidal depression, he has but one child left...a boy who is swiftly approaching adulthood. What does Freddie do? he uses the little bugger to his advantage to get some fresh meat. All of Freddies secrets are revealed. His style of murder has, evolved over the years...he seems to take pleasure in his work. No more lets just stab them with my home made hand-o-knives for Freddie, now his murdering technique is extremely original, high tech, and funny....my favorite being Super Spencer. The comical aspect would be the only reason this movie got a six and not a three, I loved his originality, had the others been that funny, I may have watched them more than once. But alas, Freddies death is much more conventional and takes place within the last two minutes of the movie, hence, he is finally dead...or is he? Wes Cravens New Nightmare quickly followed, but that my friends, is another Critique... * Evil Laugh *
Lily's Rating:1.5
This movie just plain sucked. I was told to not watch it alone in the darkso I didand it just sucked okay. The movie doesnt have an element of horror in it at allso the guy has a couple of bad dreams, sees a few ghosts (could be the booze), goes a little bonkersoh well thats life. Its craziness. The movie just sucked. The weak at heart, the cowards, and the people who cant watch action movies without covering their eyes like Artemis would find it scary me personally, I thought it was funny and I wouldnt waste my money on buying it Id wait till it was on TV and then if there was absolutely nothing better to watch then, maybe, possibly Id consider watching it but other than that I wouldnt waste my time not worth it, not at all.
Artemis: I can't help it if I'm Chicken Shit *sticks Tounge Out at Lily*
Lily: OH COME ON!!!! The FOXES ON THE BAD MOVIE PAGE ARE SCARIER THAN THE MOVIE!!!
Lily: This movie was great. I loved it. This movie is actually worthy of the word horror. It had suspense, thrills, chills, plot twists, murder, blood...the works!!!! I was on the edge of my seat for over half the movie!! The movie itself lives up to the name urban legend because of the bizarre ending. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat as you watch one college student after another die strange deaths. Of course, the dean doesnt believe that theres a serial killer on his campus and alerts the police of prank calls so now no police will come. How convenient. Another of the few predictable things about this movie is that the one person who figures out that the killer is using Urban Legends is not being listened to and only one person believes her and its...yup, you guessed it, the cute guy on campus. Go fig right? Hey, no ones perfect.
