1/100 Principality of ZEON,  MS-06F Zaku2 Close Fire Support

Lady luck started to turn her back on the zeon forces on earth.  The zeon earth forces started to face defeats in major battles and retreating from various fronts on earth. The zeon armies not only had to face the ever increasing numbers of  earth federation force's mobile suits, they also face problem of diminishing logistic support. Mechanics have to make full use of whatever they can get their hands on and often salvage parts from mobile suits wreckages.

This particular zaku (serial number: 617) served in the Asian theater of war is one of the examples of field build machines. It is build up from a salvaged MS-06J with one of the prototype MS-06FZ body and the head unit of a early MS-06K. It carries a 200mm low recoil howitzer which is mounted on the backpack  which also houses the thruster unit. Various modifications are made to the zaku to compensate for the increase weight of the howitzer and the weaker thruster unit.
