Last entry: Men's Night
This was a quiet weekend.  It began simple enough when Charles stopped by my office to take me out for dinner on Friday night. Once again we went through our ritual of asking what do you want to eat, I don't know, what do you want to eat.  This is getting old and I am going to have to start preplanning what I am in the mood for and just state it.  It would definately save time.  We ended up going to his favorate place a Mongolian restaurant up on 39th street and we had a nice quiet meal. We ended up beating the dinner crowd there as we went to eat directly from my office at 4:30. So we ended up taking our time and enjoying the food and getting caught up. After dinner he and I ended up parting ways. He said he was thinking of going out to the clubs but didn't  really feel like going out. This was an opening that I failed to take advantage of.  Though it was payday I was extreamly broke and had no money to spair to go out and do anything. So I let him go and went back to the apartment to clean and watch some movies.
During all the rest of the weekend I left the apartment only once and that was just to go down a few blocks to the grocery store on the plaza. It was late Sunday, St. Patrick's day when I went down there and the place was packed with people in green. I must have gotten there just after the parade had broken up.  Most of the crowd had thinned out but I did run into the former Mayer of KC. The Referend Emanual Cleaver for whom the street that I live on is named.  I stopped and spoke to him for a minute or so and continued on to the store.  After shopping I went back home and spent the afternoon cooking for the week.  I like it when I am able to get all of my meals cooked on one day and then just have to nuke what I want each night.  I find If I don't have ready made meals on most nights I will just eat junk food to avoid the hassle of cooking. Though I must admit that the food I cook for the week isn't the healthiest.  I hope by summer to have set up some menus that are much healther and start to pre-cook those.  It isn't like cooking healthy is that much more difficult or time consuming.  It just takes better planning and consistancy. So that is about all I did. Go to the store and do some cooking.  Maybe next weekend will be more exciting. Until then...
ciao
