This weekend I finally got to all the books I bought a couple of weeks ago at the Kansas City Public Library annual book sale . I got about 40 used hardback books at the sale. Half were ones that I have read and wanted to have to either read again or use as reference books and half are new ones to me. I needed to find room for them on my book shelves. They were already fairly full and finding room was difficult. In the end I made additional rows on top of the shelving units. It may not seem like much of a chore but between sorting labeling and organizing them it took some time. The rest of the weekend I sorted and Ironed several loads of laundry that had been cluttering up my place for a couple of weeks and then just some general cleaning. It is amazing how much work it takes just to keep the place clean and organized. I must admit that I have been fairly derelict as of late. Now that the holidays are coming up I am going to have to be more diligent in my upkeep.
As a the Nelson Museum member I do not have to pay to see the exhibits and keep planning to walk over there more often and get to know the permanent collection better, but as of yet I have been busier than normal and haven't gotten to it. I am determined that an hour or two at the museum will become a part of my routine.
