That was the highlight of my Saturday. What an odd highlight.  Sunday I had planned to be a continuation of Saturday.  I still had plenty of arrends to do and lots to do around the house.  But first thing in the morning David called to remind me that it was moving day for him. The shop where he works has moved into a new building and he was moving into the apartment above and wanted some help moving in.  So I changed my plans and went over to his old place to help.  His brother Damon and Damon's wife Joanna had driven in from Manhattan Kansas to help with the move. We also had another friend, Jonny, over to help so the five of use got started on the move with David's boss and her wife joining us later.  The move took all day and we left with a large amount yet for him to do.

Sunday evening after helping David all day I was quite bushed, I came home, showered and napped until dinner time.  I had changed my normal Sunday lunch date with Andy to a dinner date and joined him at our normal Brookside restaurent.  It seems that he met someone on Saturday that he was gaga over. The next best thing to being in love yourself is watching a friend in the process of falling in love.  Andy has been bitten by the love bug but good.  Now if Charles can find some one to make him happy.

I ended the evening once again quietly at home reading and listening to music.  A good way to end one week and start the next.

This weekend I made tentative plans for both next weekend- Pride weekend, Jonny's having an after party. This year for some reason the Pride Parade will be on friday evening instead of on Saturday morning. So Jonny's having a party after the parade. I don't know when the regular celebration is going to be held, I will have to check with Charles on that.  I also made plans with Jonny, David, Daman & Joanna to go to the Shakespeare in the park festival on the Friday after the 4th of July.  It is being held right across from my place, I usually go to it alteast once a season but now that it is so close I think I will try to make plans w/ a number of friends to see the two productions taking place.

While writing this I just realized that I will have to work on the Saturday of the Pride fesival, So It looks like Jonny's party will be the only part of pride that I will be able to join in on. .  Well that sucks, I was truly beginning to get in the right frame of mind for it.

Unrelated good news.  My friend Charlie Schmidt who is up in Michigan has finished is doctorate in classical piano and for his long years of hard work and accomplishment I want to congradulate him.  He is the first of my friends that I can think of who is a Doctor to congradulations Doctor Charles J. Schmidt. Charlies family has had a lot to celebrate in the last few months. His wife Allysa has just had their second childe Russell Schmdt and she and thier first child just finished celebrating both of their birthdays.  Just a few weeks ago I sent gifts up to the three of them but nothing for Charlie.  I will have to think of an appropriate Graduation gift to send up to him.  I  can't think of anything right off hand so if you know of a good gift for a new grad send me a note.
