Again this week was uneventful but over the weekend I joined Charles and Andy on a trip to Jeff City. They were going so that Charles could take part in a volleyball tournament. I was going to show Andy around the city while Charles played. We all agreed that our spending the day watching Charles play would be a bit much. The drive down was nice and we had a nice time catching up. Though I see them more often than any of my other friends we still sometimes go a week or two without seeing each other and our phone conversations can sometimes be on the vague side.
Once there, I showed them the way to the high school where Charles was going to be playing and Andy and I headed downtown to the State Capital. I mentioned in lesson #13961 that although Jeff City was small there were a couple of other things to do besides touring the State Capital building. Well, while Andy and I were at the capital he decided that he didn't want to go on a guided tour of the place but just to walk around and look at things. When we were done I listed the three other things we could see while in the area. None of them interested him. I then realized that unless you were interested in Missouri State history, there really wasn't anything for you to do while in Jeff. Fortunately we were there for a purpose and decided to spend the rest of the day watching Charles play volleyball. Though I do enjoy watching volleyball I didn't think I would be up to watching a whole day of it. I was surprised to find that I was really into it. Charles and his team played very well, all of the games were interesting to watch, even the ones Charles' team didn't play in. In the end Charles' team prevailed and won the tournament. Though it had grown quite late, we all left on quite a high note. The drive back was uneventful and I went right to bed upon returning home.
I have written this several weeks after the fact. The rest of the weekend must have been boring because I have no idea what I did.
