Larry: I am.
Anthony: Me. I've been standing all the time.
Tony: We all are.
John: Okay, they don't concentrate on you cause they already hit you and you didn't get up ... there are 2 on you, 2 on him, 2 on Larry --
Larry: I killed them.
John: -- 2 on Lazarus. No, there's 2 more you killed in the other melee round. There's 18 of them in total, there was 10 that you killed.
Larry: Okay.
Anthony: 60 on one of them.
John: One drops.
Larry: John, 101.
John: Drop.
Larry: 67.
John: Drop.
Larry: What do they look like?
John: I'll describe them after.
Geoff: They got claws, --
John: No, every one of them is created by Hades himself, so they're always different. These ones spit acid, they have wings, they have the Aliens-type mouth, they have claws --
Andrew: 57 and 48.
John: Dead, both of them.
Chris: John, give one 53 points of damage, another one 54 points of damage.
Andrew: Okay, I look around, check around everywhere, call my dogs back. If they'll come.
Tony: John, 101 points of damage on one of them.
John: Okay. There's one left. He gives you 50 points of damage and then he spits in your face for 12.
Chris: I attack him. Initiative?
John: Now it is.
Chris: 4.
John: Same time, Chris.
Anthony: 60 points.
Larry: 103.
Andrew: 40.
John: Ill say, 10 points of damage, 10 points of damage, 10 points of damage.
Andrew: How?
Anthony: Acid. Spraying everywhere.
Chris: 110.
John: He's just -- he's just going nuts.
Andrew: Cause I threw my dagger at it.
John: Still --
Andrew: Okay.
John: And he dies.
Chris: Let's leave this fucking area.
John: These things melt into the ground.
Chris: Okay, let's keep going.
Larry: Yeah. Let's get the fuck out of here.
Chris: Let's get rid of this fucking wand. How were we supposed to destroy the wand in the Rift Canyon?
John: Legend has it that there is a giant at the bottom of the Rift that can destroy it.
Geoff: Supposedly [?]
John: That's our only chance on the Prime Material Plane.
Chris: Well just leave it with him, he can try to break it for the rest of his days.
Larry: You know it's not going to be that easy.
Anthony: Yeah, I had that feeling.
Larry: Yeah, it's just a hunch.
Anthony: Fuck, the boat ride was bad enough.
Larry: I'm getting a different travel agent, man.
John: Night falls. I think you guys have to rest. There's, a half a day left [?] to the Rift.
Andrew: Okay, I heal myself before, we go to sleep.
Larry: Heal.
Geoff: I can't heal myself.
John: Geoff, 52, paladin.
Andrew: Did my dogs come back?
John: Yes. See what happened was, the dragons, when they reach a certain age, they have an awe power, and any creatures below a certain level just take off.
Chris: We rest, we all take turns.
Larry: John, we make tracks. We get on our horses, and we ride as fast as possible to the Rift.
John: It's evening, you're not gonna make camp?
Larry: Fuck it. We eat --
Anthony: Yeah.
Chris: No, we should rest for a while.
Larry: Maybe we should speed up to the Rift and rest there. How far away are we?
Chris: Half a day.
Larry: Let's just burn it there and then rest.
Anthony: Yeah, let's do it.
John: Okay. In the nighttime, there's a full moon, and you travel, you see these massive bird-like creatures go past, they blend in with the dark, you see them 3 or 4 times, within about 6 hours. Daylight comes, and you notice these bird-like shapes in the sky, but farther behind us. You don't know exactly what they are. Behind us you notice smoke, like dust, way in the distance, quite a bit of it.
Chris: Somebody's following us.
Anthony: Keep riding.
John: Okay, you start noticing signs of the Rift, that we're getting near it, the ground is starting to get more barren and rocky, desolate. We're traveling. It's a little slower, but you can still keep the horses moving at a good pace ... how can I put this? ... say about 100 feet from the edge of the Rift, you start noticing huge chunks of land that are open, you see sheer cliffs ... are you going to the edge, or are you getting off your horse and then going to the edge?
Anthony: Get off the horse and go to the edge.
Larry: Get off my horse and then go to the edge.
John: Okay. No problem. So you start walking over to the edge. As you're walking over to the edge, somebody appears in front of you.
Larry: Stop.
John: Another guy appears, another guy appears, they're all the same guy --
Anthony: Armor class.
John: -- and they're all going, "You killed my brother!" and --
Andrew: Who's your brother?
Anthony: Mirror image.
John: -- you see him, he has --
Tony: Dispel it. Dispel it.
John: -- he has red eyes --
Tony: Dispel it.
John: -- he has fully grown horns, but hes human in appearance.
Tony: John --
John: He takes out a sword --
Tony: John, dispel it --
John: -- takes out a long sword [?] --
Tony: -- dispel it.
John: Dispel it ... you try to dispel it, there's only one guy standing in front of us.
Tony: Go ahead ... armor class?
John: Hang on, initiative, please. 6.
Chris: 2.
Tony: Armor class?
John: Armor class is -10.
Andrew: How close to the cliff is he?
John: He is about 50 feet away from the cliff.
Andrew: Ah, that's no good.
John: Rugrat, Silent Thunder, and Silvaticus are telekinesed into a blade barrier behind them. You take 48 points of damage each.
Tony: Oh, sorry, John, where's he standing?
John: Okay, here [on the map] is the Rift, our horses are over here, and he is standing 50 feet away from here. And we are here.
Chris: Now where did I get moved to?
John: You got moved back, you're standing there, all of a sudden you're gone, right through a blade barrier ... and, that's it.
Geoff: So, it's the next day?
John: Yeah, any spells to relearn, hit points --
Tony: We didn't get to --
Andrew: 25, and flame strike.
Geoff: Didn't get to what, Tony?
Andrew: What's the damage on the flame strike?
Tony: Nothing.
John: It doesn't work.
Anthony: Can we do our damage too, John?
John: Yeah.
Anthony: Since it's our turn, can we do our damage?
John: Well, yeah.
Chris: Can I rush up to him?
Anthony: Take you a while.
John: He fucking threw us quite a bit away.
Chris: Next round, I'll attack him then. I can't attack it this round.
[?]: [?] get one attack?
John: Well, no, sorry, Anthony, you're gonna -- don't attack, you're tossed quite a bit.
Anthony: Bow.
Chris: I got a move of 24.
John: Oh, okay, no problem.
Chris: Move of 24?
John: One attack.
Tony: What's one inch?
Larry: Is it area of effect?
Tony: Yeah.
Larry: 10 feet.
Andrew: I rolled a 20, does that mean anything?
John Uh, it's maximum damage.
Tony: John, transmute rock to mud, 300 feet around here.
John: Around him?
Tony: Yeah. Up to the point of drop.
John: Larry, magic resistance, on himself, will he sink in mud?
Larry: If it turned into mud, then it's mud.
John: Okay. Damage, Anthony?
Anthony: 288.
John: 288 with a bow?
Anthony: Fireballs. Do they do anything?
John: They don't work.
Chris: The arrows will still do damage.
John: What's the area of effect of fireballs?
Larry: 40 feet. In diameter.
John: Everybody make their saving throws, for the fireballs.
Geoff: Were we that close to that demon?
John: You were -- well, let's put it this way --
Anthony: I thought you said that they didn't work.
John: -- everybody's going to move in for the attack --
Chris: He means they didn't work on him.
John: -- he came maybe 40 feet near you. Ill give you that, 41 feet. Anybody would advance in to attack this guy.
Geoff: I'm throwing daggers.
Chris: I rushed up.
John: 40 feet?
Tony: Watch it, I got mud around him.
Chris: I'm not going anywhere near him, after this shit.
Andrew: [unclear; apparently he asks Tony where the mud is]
Tony: This whole area. [?] landslide. That's exactly what I wanted. John, you got that in mind, eh?
