Hello Jennifer,
By chance i found your Master's research paper, i have not read it all, but i find it absolutely captivating. As a matter of fact, i will go to the library with your bibliography to pull some of the references myself.
Can you take some time to travel to the border of Mexico and Guatemala? The Soconusco area is a wonderful coffee region. Perhaps you have been there and i did not read it, yet. Anyway, if you make it down that way, my family will be delighted to visit
ith you and show you our farm. From the congregation that i attended on Sustainable coffee in Denver this past April, I am proud to say that we are a 100% Sustainable Mexican farm. You may enjoy paying a visit.
Regards,
Astrid

Hello, this is Jennifer McLean, the author of the paper "Merging Ecological and Social Criteria for Agriculture: the case of coffee" At the moment (September) I am travelling in Panama. I will soon post my summaries of my visits to the coffee areas of Per

e some of the web page into Spanish and make it more accesible.

I work with a small all-vounteer organization on
Vancouver Island which does development education
work,supports development projects in Nicaragua,
and imports fair traded, organic, shade grown
coffee. The profit goes back to projects in Nica.
I'm intereste din the experience of others who are
involved in the coffee industry from a "development"
perspective, not just a busines perspective.
