Position Qualifications:

To be President of the United States of America a person must be a citizen of the United States their entire life.  They must be 35 years or older and they have to have been resident in the United States for at least 14 years prior to appointment.
Nomination Process:
The Presidential candidates are nominated at their party's national and state party conventions.
Election Time:
The President is elected every 4 years in November with the Vice-President.
Ballot Qualifications:
To be placed on the voting ballot in Michigan, a Presidential candidate must have affiliation with one of the main political party's or they must file a petition.  The petition needs signatures at least equaling 1% of the number of votes cast in the last election for governor.  These signatures must include at least 100 signatures per congressional district from different congressional districts equaling at least 50% of the total number of congressional districts.
